Our Staff

Christine started with Overton Funeral Homes and Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories in 2003. She was raised in Waterloo. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science. In 2017, Christine pursued other ventures, but in 2020, returned to where she got her start and to the friends and neighbors she served for many years. Christine and her husband Greg are lifelong residents of Waterloo, and are members of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. They have one child, Henry, who attends Columbus High School. She is very active in the community and a huge supporter of her son’s sporting events.Alex M. Petersen is a licensed Funeral Director with Overton Funeral Home. He is a 2008 graduate of Indianola High School and received his Associates of Arts Degree from Des Moines Area Community College before graduating from the Mortuary Science Program.
