Wilma Snider

Wilma June Snider, 87, of Traer, Iowa, went to be with Jesus, her Savior, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. She was born November 9, 1936, in Laurelville, Ohio, to Willis and Maxine Routte Morrison. She graduated from Pickerington High School in 1955.

On November 16, 1957, she was united in marriage to Robert Snider at Pickerington Methodist Church in Pickerington, Ohio. They were blessed with three children, Mike (Amy) Snider of Traer, Ron (Terri) Snider of Gahanna, Ohio, and Karen (John) Shaw of Traer; three grandchildren, Ashley Shaw (Nick Harden), Ryan Snider and Aaron Snider; and two great-grandchildren Malia Harden and Lennox Harden.

Wilma enjoyed farming alongside her husband, being a mom to her three children, spending time with her church family and helping her neighbors. She loved being outdoors and especially loved raking grass and leaves on a beautiful day.

Due to Wilma’s declining health, Bob and Wilma relocated to the Traer in 2018, to be near their children.

Wilma will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love of children, her fun personality, and a willingness to go along with Bob’s jokes.

Left to cherish their memories with Wilma are her husband, Bob, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister, Phylis Seltzer of Brandon, Florida and her brother, Vernon (Sarah) Morrison of Alta Loma, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Glen and Jim.  

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM, on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Buckingham Cemetery near Traer.
