Victoria Lee Huebner, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a beacon of boundless love and faith, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 78, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on December 26, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Eli and Beatrice (McDermott) Uhlenhopp, Victoria’s life was a testament to devotion, resilience, and warmth.

A proud graduate of Waterloo West High School in 1966, Victoria's heart was captured early on by the love of her life and East High alumni, Roger Huebner. This serendipitous meeting bloomed into a lifelong partnership. They married on February 25, 1966, at Immanuel Baptist Church, beginning a journey spanning six remarkable decades together. Their love story, grounded in mutual respect and faith, saw them raise four wonderful children: Dawn, Denise, Roger II, and Sara. Their shared adventures carried them from Waterloo and Sumner to Dysart, then Cedar Falls, and finally back to Legacy Manor in Waterloo, where for the last seven years, Victoria continued to embrace the warmth of an ever-growing family and friend circle.

Victoria’s faith was the cornerstone of her being. A proud member of both First Weslyn Church in Waterloo and Dysart United Methodist Church, her spiritual life was vividly reflected in her treasured Bible. Decorated lovingly with notes, sayings, dates, names, and marked favorite verses, her Bible is nothing short of a masterpiece—an intimate portrayal of her soul’s journey and a precious heirloom for generations to come.

Her love extended far beyond her immediate family. Victoria poured her heart into running a family “daycare”, a role she cherished deeply as it allowed her the priceless joy of nurturing her own grandchildren. This passion for caregiving inspired her to return to school later in life, enrolling at Hawkeye Community College alongside her daughter Dawn and proudly earning her LPN diploma in 1993. She dedicated many years working as a home care aide for Tama County and at Sunrise Hill Care Center as an LPN, always carrying the pride of being a homemaker and caregiver who loved her family and community dearly. Her retirement in 2016 marked the close of a beautiful chapter filled with hard work and unconditional love.

In moments of leisure, Victoria delighted in reading her Bible and playing her favorite games—Farkle, Skip-Bo, Bingo, and Rummy Royal. Yet, above all, she treasured the countless hours spent with family, her greatest source of happiness and fulfillment.

Victoria's legacy is also one of family bonds spanning generations. She is preceded in death by her parents Eli and Beatrice, her brother Monty King, sister-in-law Lanonda King, and devoted in-laws Darleen Hoeg, Al Hoeg, and Lorraine Huebner. She leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Roger Huebner, her children Dawn (Bart) Jensen of Dysart, Denise DeLeon of Dysart, Roger Huebner II of Evansdale, and Sara (Kipp) Burnette of Indianola. Her blessed grandchildren—Kaylena (Derek) Neegaard of Dysart, Savannah (Jacob) Williams of Chandler, Arizona, Cala (Daniel) DeLeon-Winklepleck of Wisconsin, Blake DeLeon of Dysart, Anthony Huebner currently serving in South Korea, Mikayla (Vaughn) Wilson of Altoona, Alexander (Angie) McKinley of Des Moines, and Ivy (James Adams) McKinley of Des Moines—along with her great-grandchildren Maryn and Trace Neegaard, Jasmine, Lily, and Belle DeLeon-Winklepleck, Logan and Lainey Wilson, and Rowan and Arthur McKinley, all carry forward the light of her love.

A visitation to honor Victoria’s wonderful spirit will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on May 25, 2026, at Dysart United Methodist Church, 602 Tilford St, Dysart, Iowa. Her funeral service will follow the next day, May 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the same location, with viewing one hour prior.

These gatherings will provide a cherished opportunity for friends and family to share in remembrance and pay tribute to a woman whose strength, kindness, and unwavering faith touched so many lives.

Victoria Lee Huebner’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with faith, love, and commitment. She leaves behind a profound legacy of devotion that will be tenderly remembered and deeply felt in the hearts of all who knew her.
