Barbara Jean Sieh

Barbara Sieh was born January 13, 1931, in Traer, Iowa, the daughter of Ellsworth and Evelyn (Treadway) Harrison. She attended schools in Traer. She enjoyed going on walks, attending church at the United Presbyterian Church, where she was a longtime member. Barbara loved her dog, Sweet Pea.

Barbara passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at UnityPointHealth-Allen Memorial, at the age of 93. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Greg Newton; two brothers, Monte Jo Harrison and Jack Norman and a sister, Shirley Knudson.

Barbara is survived by three daughters, Rhonda (Merlin) Benning of Waverly, JoLyn Newton of Hastings, Minnesota and Kim Vrbicek of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Jodi Sharaan, Jessica Newton, Adam (Tiffany) Newton, Benett Vrbicek and Elise Vrbicek and two great-grandchildren, Sydney Singh and Haylee Newton.

As per Barbara’s wishes, no services will be held.
